Reading yourself is what takes a toll. So you won't get a guru here pretending they've never lost. You'll get what I wish someone had shown me.

So many people tell me they don't know how to use these. If you can send a text, you can. Claude, ChatGPT, Muse and Grok can explain anything, quiz you and find holes in your plan, and they'll never make you feel dumb for asking. They just can't tell you what the market will do next.
And yes, I know AI comes with a lot of controversy and speculation, and some of those concerns are real. I still strongly believe that used the right way, it's extremely beneficial. It has been for me. The right way means it helps you think. It doesn't think for you.

From OpenAI. A strong all-rounder, including for spreadsheets and files.
From Meta, in the Meta AI app. Quick, free everyday questions with a Meta login.
From xAI. Good for what's being said on X and the web right now. Chatter isn't always fact.
Act as a patient trading teacher. Interview me one question at a time about my schedule, my savings and debts, how I handle stress and my goals. Don't recommend any stock or broker. At the end, explain which style to learn about first and why. Warn me if it sounds like I shouldn't be risking money yet.
AI can sound sure and still be wrong. Ask for the source and open it.
Never paste passwords, API keys or account numbers into a chat.
No model has a magic edge. Be suspicious of any "AI bot that can't lose."
An AI agent can write you a trading bot fast, and that's exactly why I'm saying this. It can build something you don't understand. If you don't know the market or how your bot works, you won't know when it's wrong, and it's your money on the line.
My rule: if you can't explain what it does, why it trades and how to shut it off, it doesn't touch real money.

And options? Big fan, as long as you buy yourself enough time. They can still go to zero, so they get their own chapter.
